What is a Marketing Funnel

Apr 6

What exactly is a channel for marketing? And what are the reasons why an online marketing professional need one?

It's a strategy for marketing that you employ to persuade potential customers to buy your product. It is a selling method where a customer comes to your blog seeking information that could aid in solving a specific problem. You can build a rapport with each person by using specific tools.

This will enable you to fully understand your visitors' needs. This in turn will push you to offer the best possible information for all visitors. If you gain the trust of a visitor, they will be more likely to purchase your products. The visitor then transform into a customer.

At some point, many customers turn into extremely loyal customers who are ready to buy any product that your website promotes. A marketing funnel outlines the steps required to convert a person who comes to your site into a client who will return to you for future purchases.

This is the goal that should be achieved. This can be achieved easily with a properly designed funnel.

Your promotional materials are now drawing attention of people and leading them to the funnel. They enter the funnel when they fill in the form that you have on your PERSONAL lead capture page. Since they're not likely to sign up for your lead capture page for business, I use the word "personal". They want to join as a leader, not a company.

The lead capture page is where they enter into the funnel. When they click that "Sign Up now" or "Enter Here" button, they are entered into an entirely new idea of network marketing.

It's their decision. It's their choice. They don't have to buy you as a mentor or leader. You can also show them ways to get more leads and cash into their businesses.

This is how a standard funnel functions.

On the "front-end" you have an offer that is free to draw and qualify people who may be interested in purchasing your products later on in the sales funnel. To receive your product for free, sign up (also called opt-in) and give your name and email address. In turn you'll include them on your email list.

Now you have those people on your list of email addresses and can send other related offers that they might be interested in.

Right after signing up to receive the free offer, you'll be directed to a page with a low price offer, also known as a trip wire offer. This is where they'll be taken to the "backend" of your funnel.

If the buyer buys the lowest-priced offer and is accepted, they are taken directly to a similar offer at a more expensive cost (commonly known as an Upsell). If the buyer purchases the more expensive offer, they will be transferred to a different product at a higher price. This can go on and on...
